Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a thorough knowledge of accounting principles.
Responsibilities:
Preparing monthly and annual financial statements.
Conducting regular ledger maintenance.
Reviewing and analyzing financial statements and reports.
Tracking and maintaining fixed asset ledgers.
Preparing quarterly sales tax returns.
Assisting with annual budgeting and auditing.
Supporting accurate and timely annual, quarterly, and month-end close processes.
Performing account analysis and reconciliation, including bank statements and intercompany general ledger accounts.
Maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts.
Assisting with initial internal control evaluations.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
Minimum 2 years of related experience required.
Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Experience with computerized ledger systems, Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Ability to function well in a team-oriented environment.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
