Description Robert Half is actively seeking a talented Contracts Manager to work directly under the general counsel drafting, managing and negotiating contracts. The Contracts Manager position consists of maintaining vendor and subcontracts agreements, drafting contracts, and managing and re-negotiating contracts when necessary. This long-term contract / temporary employment opportunity is based in the San Diego, California area.

What you get to do every single day

  • Draft and outsource contracts

  • Be in touch with clients to internal and external requests on status of contracts

  • Amend and manage contract repositories

  • Sustain and maintain contracts database

  • Analyze and draft legal agreements (vendor agreements, NDAs, evaluation agreements)

  • Provide overall support in contract administration functions for the coordination and oversight of requirements for compliance with the contract terms and conditions, along with relaying information to internal departments

  • Deal and organize contract templates; obtain signatures on contracts

  • Red-line documents as required for compliance and review external clients' contract terms to align with Company's risk tolerance

  • Set up contractual provisions and administer contract proposals

  • Guide the complete life cycle of the Company's contracts (from initial request to final signature and contract distribution) Requirements - Less than one year of experience required

  • Very organized in order to track and monitor contracts for future obligations, expiration dates and other contractual deadlines

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Capacity to work and succeed in a fast-paced environment

  • Able to handle multiple assignments, work well under pressure, and have the flexibility to assist the team in meeting client demands on accelerated schedules

  • Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM) certification, or equivalent

  • Skilled in analytical, quantitative and social skills

  • Prior experience with agreements

  • Experience with Quotations

  • Hands-on experience with Supply Chain Logistics

  • Knowledge of Zoom

  • Quality experience with Metric Reporting

  • Skills in Specification

  • Good understanding of Execute

  • Wide ranging experience with Stakeholders

  • Proficiency in training

  • Foundational knowledge in contract administration

  • Earlier work involving Purchase Orders

  • Well-founded grasp of Leadership Skills

  • Strong familiarity with Business Partners

  • Documentation experience desired

  • Solid understanding of Enhancement

  • Comprehension of Company Policy

  • Practical knowledge of Financial Notes

  • Compliance experience preferred

  • Planning Processes experience

  • Solid understanding of Prepare Reports

  • General familiarity with negotiation

  • Previous experience working with suppliers

  • Reporting experience preferred

  • Experience with Streamlining

  • Proven knowledge of contracts

  • Background in handling confidential business matters and information with discretion

    • Proficient computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, as well as databases and customer database systems
  • Ability to work effectively and cross-functionally, think practically and be solution-oriented

  • The ideal candidates must be skilled with strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well

  • Past experience in review and drafting of non-disclosure agreements; preferably, some exposure to software evaluation and licensing agreements
