Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in San Francisco, California

Description

Looking to work with a thriving company? Shirell Bishop of Robert Half is seeking a talented Accounting Manager to work with a successful Construction/Contractor organization that will recognize your efforts. If you can lead daily operations, such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, and assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable, you might be right for this position. This role's duties will require the ability to create and monitor the company's accounting and finance operations. Located in the San Francisco, California area, this Accounting Manager position would be on a permanent basis.

What you get to do every single day

  • Prepare various technical accounting analyses, policies, and procedures

  • Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable

  • Provide regular review and analysis of balance sheets and income statement accounts owned by the Senior Accountant

  • Drive and manage the full accounting team performance of the close process to meet close deadlines

  • Assist in preparing GAAP financial statements through data analysis, document preparation, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes

  • Collaborate with FP& A and accounting management to deliver relevant and timely reporting of financial data analytics, including monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook

  • Play a key role in system and process design, data migration, testing, training, and go-forward system administration of NetSuite Financials

    Requirements - Eager problem-solver who listens for customer cues and actively resolves problems with grace and integrity

  • Reliable technology and analytical abilities

  • CPA or MBA preferred

  • Proficiency in Bank Account Reconciliation

  • Bank Account Reconciliation experience

  • Knowledge of Accrual Accounting

  • Adeptness in auditing

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Entries

  • Foundational knowledge in Bank Balances

  • Demonstrated knowledge of financial auditing

  • Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience

  • Exceptional communication skills that provide the ability to interact with all levels of the organization with a high customer service orientation

  • 3+ years of recent relevant financial experience
