Robert Half Accounts Receivable Clerk in San Francisco, California

Description Robert Half is searching for an Accounts Receivable (A/R) Clerk eager to contribute their skill set to the rapid growth of a dynamic company. In this role, your responsibilities will include entering, posting, and reconciling batches, researching and resolving customer A/R issues, preparing aging report, placing billing and collection calls, maintaining a cash receipting journal, and updating, and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L. This rapidly growing team needs a self-starter to join the accounting team! You will process full-cycle AP and handle many invoices per week while paying close attention to detail. The Accounts Receivable Clerk role will be based in the San Francisco, California region and is a permanent employment opportunity.

How you will make an impact

  • Reconcile bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in various ledgers

  • Work with clients to solve payment issues; set up payment plans as needed

  • Process payments and assemble segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP

  • Provide information as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stake holders

  • Maintain, relate, and promote the mission, values and culture of the organization

  • Verify documents and codes

  • Perform a variety of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks Requirements - AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field

  • Relevant experience in accounts receivable

  • Proficient in ERP systems

  • QuickBooks experience

  • Knowledge of billing

  • Collections experience

  • Solid understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Be detailed, flexible, and organized

  • Strong analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
