Our client is a single family office that has evolved into a large wealth manager with both on shore and off shore investments funds. This Company is looking to add an analyst to their finance team due to growth. This individual will gain significant exposure to the entire business and will report to the Director of Operations.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close, data entry and workbook preparation
Manage depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation
Identify process and systems related opportunities within the accounting function and internal controls and leads implementing changes to drive scalability, efficiency and productivity
Assemble analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management reporting including budgeting and forecasting
Assist with year-end, annual budget process and various Accounting/Finance projects
Review and update accounting policies and procedures as needed
Maintain written, wiki and video documentation and training
Optimize and centralize intake of data from various sources with a focus on efficiency and scalability
Efficiently validate and ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security
Support ongoing tagging and classification of client and investment data across various systems
Maintain financial planning models, identify and develop of improvements
Assist with the portfolio rebalance
Assist in maintaining data policies and procedures, inventory, and infrastructure
Interpret, analyses, and present data in a manner that enhances the internal/external interlocuter’s experience
Manage risk across responsibilities by closely adhering to firm and regulatory policy, procedures, and processes
Prioritize operating ethically and professionally, demonstrate a strong sense of integrity, and consistently exercise good judgement
Welcome feedback and are quick to act on it
Operate with a positive, proactive, “no-job-is-too-small” attitude
Participate in special projects as needed
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree with concentration in accounting or related (such as finance or economics)
1-2 years of financial services or financial reporting experience
Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Work effectively in a collaborative and collegial team environment
Basic knowledge of financial markets and keen interest in deepening knowledge
Knowledge or deep interest in data management, operations, and technology
Able to quickly adopt to new technology platforms
Can tackle complex, multi-dimensional problems and come up with actionable solutions
Able to balance both a of strong process orientation and are willing and capable of “thinking outside of the box” in identifying solutions
Demonstrate a strong ability to multi-task and balance time-sensitive priorities while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
Operate with excellent organizational skills, demonstrating the ability to handle pressure and work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
Prioritize strong customer/client service orientation
Highly responsive to internal and external requests; always willing to “go the extra mile”
Proficiency in Office 365. Advanced Excel skills are preferred
Knowledge of Advent APX, SQL, Power Query, Power Pivot, DAX, Power Bi a plus but not require
