Robert Half International Customer Service Representative in San Francisco, California


Robert Half is currently looking for a Customer Service Representative to join a well known healthcare company in San Francisco. This Member Experience Associate will provide personalized advice and help members navigate the insurance industry with a high-touch, customer-centric experience.

Responsibilities include:

● Help members navigate the healthcare system

● Provide customers a seamless onboarding experience from the minute they first contact support

● Educate, recommend, and enroll customers in health insurance and ancillary coverage

● Handle contacts in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner while utilizing active listening skills and stellar grammar

● Respond to members with knowledge and deep empathy

● Quickly identify and resolve issues for members when transactions and experiences don’t go exactly as planned


● Must have current Health & Accident Insurance Agent License in your resident state

● Must pass a fingerprint background check (will be dealing with sensitive information)

● Possess a solid understanding of health insurance and how the healthcare industry works, including and the Affordable Healthcare Act

● Punctuality and consistent work attendance and schedule adherence.

● Extraordinary verbal and written communication skills with a natural finesse for putting people at ease

● Patience, empathy, and a unique ability to manage stress

● Superb organization, multitasking, and prioritization skills

● Ability to make sound decisions independently and in high pressure situations

● Tech savvy: aptitude in Windows and MacOS, proficient using basic office software tools (MS Office, Google Sheets, Google Docs, etc.), ability to pick up new technology quickly

● Sufficient knowledge of iPhone and/or Android phones to be able to give members “How to” instructions

● Experience working in a customer/client-facing role in a high-performing, customer-focused organization

● Knowledge of ancillary insurance products (preferred)

● Have worked as / prepared your own taxes as a 1099 before or basic familiarity with the individual tax return (preferred)

● Experience using cloud-based customer support software (e.g. Zendesk) and CRMs, with a focus on using technology to streamline customer support and sales operations (preferred)

● Bilingual - Spanish is a plus!
