Reputable San Francisco firm is seeking a Junior Paralegal to join their litigation team and run intake and matter management. Are you someone who is ambitious and pays close attention to detail? This Junior Paralegal position is attractive because the job duties are diverse and include conducting legal research, drafting and reviewing documents, supporting cases, and other duties as assigned. As a Junior Paralegal, you will build working relationships within a team environment as well as work independently. This permanent employment opportunity is based in the San Francisco, California area, and offer hybrid remote work options.

What you get to do every single day

• Check copies against originals to confirm accuracy

• Meet word processing, filing and faxing duties

• Develop an organization system for e-documents and files

• Data-house matter management and record keeping

• Assemble documents and arrange data as directed by lawyers and paralegals

• Oversee legal research and investigative tasks, including obtaining information or documents from outside parties, as directed

• Maintain computer database input and retrieval

• Search and retrieve electronic documents from a variety of court and agency web sites

• Administer documents for photocopying/scanning

• Draft correspondence and memorandum

  Requirements - Past Paralegal or Legal Assistant or legal support experience strongly preferred

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening)

• Demonstrated technology and analytical abilities

• Desire to thrive in a high-paced environment, requiring exceptional organizational skills, juggling client matters, and adhering to strict deadlines

• Demonstrated knowledge of deposition summary

• Practical knowledge of trial preparation

• Experience with legal research

• Deep understanding of Civil Litigation Experience

• Solid understanding of Commercial Litigation

• Case management experience preferred

• Complex Commercial Litigation experience

• Adeptness in document production

• General familiarity with Discovery

• Capacity to work and succeed in a fast-paced environment

• Highly organized, attentive, has a sense of urgency, flexible and able to deal with frequent interruptions and changing priorities

• Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred. Paralegal Certificate a plus

• Familiarity with using the internet for research tasks

  • Applicant must be familiar with word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software, as well as databases and customer database systems
