Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Paralegal in San Francisco, California. This role is within the legal industry and will involve a wide range of duties including conducting legal research, maintaining internal databases, and assisting attorneys with discovery requests. This job is based in a detail-oriented office environment.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough legal research and gather information from various sources to aid in case preparation.
• Assist attorneys in handling interrogatories and other discovery requests, ensuring all information is accurate and comprehensive.
• Liaise effectively between the trial team and both internal and external third parties, ensuring clear and timely communication.
• Prepare comprehensive medical chronologies and Howell analysis, summarizing written discovery and document productions.
• Handle the subpoena of medical records, employment records, and other relevant documents, ensuring all information is accurate and relevant.
• Aid in voir dire, jury selection, and witness preparation, providing valuable assistance during trial processes.
• Maintain and update internal databases regularly, ensuring all data is accurate and up-to-date.
• Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices, ensuring they are easily accessible and well-organized.
• Communicate effectively with retained experts and prepare relevant materials for expert review.
• Conduct background checks and social media investigations as necessary, providing valuable information for case preparation. Requirements • Candidate must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Paralegal.
• Proficiency in Aderant software is required.
• Must be adept at using Adobe Acrobat.
• Familiarity with Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS) is needed.
• Experience with Case Management Software is crucial.
• Knowledge of CompuLaw is essential.
• Ability to perform Billing Functions is important.
• Proficiency in Briefing is required.
• Must be able to manage Calendars effectively.
• Experience in Claim Administration is necessary.
• Excellent Communication skills are mandatory.
• Knowledge and experience in Employment Law is required.
