Description A Payroll Clerk position has opened up at a growing company that Robert Half has partnered with whose duties include supporting the Payroll department in a variety of duties. This role is located in the San Francisco, California area. This challenging position is a great opportunity for a self-starter looking to work with an industry leader and expand their career. The ideal candidate would be able to effectively communicate with both the internal team and outside customers. The Payroll Clerk's daily functions may consist of data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. Major responsibilities
Conduct clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc
Administer instruction/training to employees regarding the use of payroll-related systems including entry of timesheets, online access of pay statements, etc.
Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system

Devise a system of administering and distributing reports
Contact employees via email and phone to obtain timesheet approvals
Configure custom reports Requirements - Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Great written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
Solid understanding of Paylocity
Command of Microsoft Excel
2+ years of previous payroll experience
Payroll software experience recommended
Skillful in learning new processes and systems
Strong time management and organizational skills
