Robert Half SEC Reporting Manager in San Francisco, California

Description

Our client is a publicly traded Biotech with a robust drug pipeline. Due to growth they are looking to add a SEC Manager reporting to a experience in VP Controller. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to part of a company that would help millions of patients in the future. As a SEC Manager you will be responsible for the following;

• Manage the preparation of the Company’s quarterly SEC filings (e.g., 10-K, 10-Qs, and 8-K).

• Assist with all other aspects of SEC reporting, ensuring the accuracy of reported values/amounts (e.g., proxy, section 16 filings).

• Oversee XBRL tagging for SEC filings, as applicable. • Maintain all necessary deadlines in accordance with the SEC.

• Manages the annual proxy report and coordinates activities leading to the annual shareholder meeting. • Draft financial reporting procedures to comply with internal control requirements

• Ensure that the company is in compliance with all financial policies, US GAAP, and SEC-related reporting requirements.

• Stay current with new accounting standards/guidance and manage adoption/transition as applicable.

Requirements

Ideally you will have following qualifications;

· 5+ years of progressive accounting experience

· Certified Public Accountant with Big 4 public accounting firm experience is strongly preferred

· Public company biotech experience preferred

· Ability to demonstrate technical knowledge and understanding of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and SOX requirements and controls

· Excellent attention to detail and dedication to accurate and high-quality work

· Strong project management experience in organizing, planning, and executing the program from vision through implementation

· Ability to problem solve and multi-task in a fast-paced, start-up environment

· A positive attitude and effective written/oral communication skills
