Robert Half Senior Accountant in San Francisco, California

Description

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join a close knit accounting team in San Francisco, California. This role is pivotal to our Finance & Accounting team, focusing on various accounting activities such as investments accounting and administration, accounts payable, financial statements, and assisting in audit and tax preparation. The position ensures accuracy and efficiency in all accounting tasks and compliance with GAAP.

Responsibilities:

• Input all General ledger transactions, reconciliation, financial reporting, and process accounts payable

• Enter daily cash activities and process vendor invoices

• Process weekly grant payments, which can vary in volume but are substantial in amount

• Conduct month-end reconciliations and financial reporting

• Support audit and tax preparation

• Utilize various software including Sage Intacct, Bill.com, FloQast, Expensify, and Microsoft Outlook and Excel

• Administer account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations

• Maintain the general ledger and perform journal entries

• Oversee month-end close processes

• Handle tasks related to consolidations, multiple entities, and grant administration.

Requirements

• Must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in a general accounting role.

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations is necessary

• Should have a strong understanding of General Ledger and Journal Entries

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required

• Experience with Month End Close is necessary

• Familiarity with Bill.com and Expensify is highly desirable

• Experience with Sage Intacct is a plus

• Must have experience with Consolidations and handling Multiple Entities

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities

• Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
