Some Responsibilities as Senior Tax Associate:
Handling tax accounting across various funds (hedge, private equity, real estate, SPV).
Preparing and reviewing tax work papers and returns.
Calculating estimated taxes and managing investor tax documents.
Engaging with external firms for tax, accounting, and legal matters.
Addressing investor tax queries with researched responses.
Coordinating with other departments and external auditors for financial statements.
Requirements
3-4+ years in public accounting with Flow-Through Taxation focus.
Experience with partnership agreements for hedge and private equity funds.
Proficiency in hedge fund tax issues like Schedule M-1 computation.
Understanding of private equity fund tax issues, including capital account allocations.
Knowledge of real estate fund tax matters, REIT qualification preferred.
Ability to identify international tax and tax-exempt organization issues.
Experience in preparing and reviewing tax work papers and returns.
Managing tax return preparation across multiple firms.
Strong grasp of complex tax and accounting rules.
Preference for a strong GPA and CPA qualification.
