Title: Senior Tax Associate
Location: San Francisco, CA (Onsite Monday, Tuesday & Thursday)
Salary: $120K-140k + Discretionary Bonus
About the Company: This is a well-known private investment firm that handles billions in equity capital from around the world.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparation and review of tax work papers and tax returns for hedge fund, private equity fund, real estate fund, and SPVs.
Preparation and review of estimated tax calculations and investor tax documents and reports.
Maintain relationships with outside accounting, tax, and law firms.
Research and analysis related to investor tax inquiries.
Coordination with various departments and external audit firms regarding audited financial statements, including ASC 740 analysis.
Research on tax law changes affecting the asset management industry.
Requirements
Qualifications:
3-4+ years’ experience in public accounting with a focus on Flow-Through Taxation.
Comprehensive understanding of partnership agreements for hedge fund, private equity funds, and real estate funds.
Knowledge of hedge fund-specific tax issues and private equity fund-specific tax issues.
Experience with real estate fund-specific tax issues, including REIT qualification.
Familiarity with international tax issues and tax-related matters of tax-exempt organizations.
CPA preferred.
Comfortable working in a flatter team structure.
