Description

We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to assist our client in San Francisco. In this role, you will be responsible for various accounting duties, including managing aircraft finance lease, general ledger and intercompany transactions. This position offers a long term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately calculate finance leases as they are entered into or modified

• Conduct regular maintenance of general ledger

• Prepare standalone audited financial statements

• Deliver internal management reporting and standardized tax provisions

• Complete statutory audits for assigned entities

• Ensure deadlines for monthly, quarterly, year-end and special projects are met

• Post cash journals on a daily basis

• Maintain necessary schedules to support income tax filings in multiple jurisdictions

• Assist with IFRS based statutory audits, including preparation of audited financial statements and footnote disclosures

• Handle other duties as needed

Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Senior Accountant role or a similar position is required.

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations is necessary.

• Sound knowledge and practical experience with General Ledger and Journal Entries is expected.

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for financial data management and analysis is needed.

• Demonstrable experience with Month End Close procedures is required.

• Familiarity with PeopleSoft financial software is essential.

• Solid understanding of IFRS Accounting principles is expected.

• Experience in Lease Accounting is necessary.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team is required.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are expected.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required. Advanced degrees or certifications such as CPA would be a plus.
