Description
We are inviting applications for a Staff Accountant role based in San Francisco, California. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team within the finance industry, with a focus on Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, and General Ledger duties. This role offers an opportunity to work in a vibrant and professional environment. This role is hybrid, 1x a week in office (Wednesday). Please reach out if interested!
What you’ll do:
Ensure accurate, approved, and well-documented invoices. Handle coding and processing in Oracle EBS, navigating complex coding structures for correct financial categorization.
Manage the credit card program and T& E reimbursements. Ensure timely vendor payments via checks/ACH/wires and address AP inquiries promptly.
Conduct monthly vendor and bank reconciliations to catch discrepancies and ensure accurate financial records. Oversee credit card reconciliations for authorized charges.
Maintain up-to-date and compliant vendor records.
Support accounts payable tasks during month-end closing, including report provision.
Identify and implement enhancements to finance procedures and systems.
Offer flexible assistance on special projects or tasks as required.

Requirements
The ideal candidate has:
A minimum of three (3) years of accounts payable experience within a corporate environment
Associate’s or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience, with a record that demonstrates suitable preparation for this position
Solid understanding of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles, including GAAP
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Exceptional focus on accuracy and detail
Professional communication skills, capable of engaging with a culturally diverse range of clients, providers, and staff
A strong mindset for collaboration and working as part of a team
Ability to work independently, managing multiple priorities. A self-starter who takes initiative and ownership of completing projects and assignments in a timely manner.
Proficiency in the use of OCR software
Additional Preferred Experience:
- Familiarity with Oracle or other ERP software
