Description

Accountemps is looking for an experienced Staff Accountant with an eye for accuracy to fill a temp-to-hire position at a growing Fintech Startup based in San Francisco. The Staff Accountant is responsible for Accounts Payable, Bank Reconciliations and will eventually get exposure to the general ledger. This company offers a challenging and multi-faceted opportunity where effort is rewarded and the role is based in the San Francisco, California region. •Support accounts payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing

•Support Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, help with collection of past due balance

•General accounting and administration support: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects

•Correct transaction documents, which may require revision of other documents or entries as well as the original; may initiate other actions

Requirements

• BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

-2+ years of accounting experience with direct experience with fixed assets, prepaids and accruals

• Efficient in ERP systems

• Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment

• Candidate must possess first-rate analytical, quantitative and social skills

• Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required

• Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases

• Self-starter and strong ethical standards
