This is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity in the San Francisco, California area, at a company where effort is rewarded. This position is for candidates with the ability to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. How you will make an impact
Periodically maintain and reconcile journal entries
In-depth experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations
Assemble analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management reporting
Implement, maintain, and adhere to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Conduct month end close and compose journal entries with minimal supervision
Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested
Prepare monthly financial close workbooks to support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process
Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers
Manage schedules for capital lease and monthly payments
Partake in a variety of department-wide initiatives
Assemble journal entries and thorough account reconciliations that include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
Manage intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation
Organize and review a variety of financial data, reporting it in a way that is useful and understandable Requirements - High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills
Efficient in ERP systems
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Skilled in analytical, quantitative and social skills
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Fully formed organizational, written and verbal communication skills
Comprehensive knowledge of Yardi
Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
Recent and relevant accounting experience
Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
