Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in San Jose, California

Description We are looking for an Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in San Jose, California. In this role, you'll be playing a crucial part in supporting our executive team in identifying revenue opportunities and enhancing profitability. You will oversee the accounting staff, supervise daily accounting operations, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily accounting operations such as Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

• Manage the general ledger and maintain its accuracy

• Prepare and review financial statements and reconciliations

• Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory reporting

• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reports preparation

• File tax returns and ensure regulatory compliance, including Wayfair tax laws

• Coordinate with other departments to maintain financial control

• Liaise with third-party consultants for HR and finance-related tasks

• Ensure performance, motivation, and training of the accounting staff

• Utilize accounting software systems and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning for efficient operations

• Manage accounting functions including auditing and billing functions

• Adhere to GAAP Accounting practices and handle annual tax duties. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role or related field.

• Should possess a thorough knowledge of Accounting Software Systems.

• Must be proficient in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning.

• Familiarity and understanding of all Accounting Functions is essential.

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required.

• Must have experience in Auditing.

• Proficiency in handling Billing Functions is necessary.

• Must have a solid understanding and experience in GAAP Accounting.

• Experience in Annual Tax is required.

• Must be able to effectively communicate and collaborate with other team members.

• Should be able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

• Must maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive information.

• Must be highly organized and detail-oriented.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required.

• Must have strong problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and make decisions within the framework of the company's policies and procedures.
