Description

We are providing an exciting opportunity for a CFO to join our client's team in the non-profit sector, located in San Jose, California. The CFO will play a crucial role in supervising the finance and billing operations, developing financial strategies, maintaining financial records, and providing financial reports. The CFO will also establish relationships with external financial entities and support strategic initiatives of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Supervise teams that handle finance and billing operations, ensuring compliance, audits, and tax filings are conducted accurately.

• Develop and implement financial strategies that oversee cash flow, budgeting, and revenue collection processes.

• Maintain detailed financial records such as ledgers, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and other systems.

• Prepare and present financial reports and key metrics to the leadership team and Board, providing insights and actionable recommendations.

• Build and foster relationships with external financial entities, including banks, auditors, and service providers.

• Direct the organization's annual budget development, collaborating with program leads to create realistic financial plans.

• Monitor the budget performance, providing analysis, updates, and guidance to leadership.

• Support strategic initiatives by identifying funding sources, evaluating new business opportunities, and assessing major projects such as system upgrades or acquisitions.

• Collaborate with the Board's finance committee to provide expert guidance and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.

• Use financial insights to support major organizational decisions and special projects.

Requirements • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position

• Proven experience in the non-profit industry

• Proficiency in auditing and budget processes

• Robust understanding of capital management strategies

• Demonstrated expertise in cash flow analysis

• Prior experience with Fqhc is desirable

• Proficiency with Financial Edge software

• Experience in capital improvement planning and execution

• Knowledge in the field of behavioral health is beneficial

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field (MBA preferred)

• Strong leadership skills and the ability to make strategic decisions

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

• High ethical standards and professionalism in dealing with confidential information.
