Description

One of our clients in the Bay Area is hiring an interim Controller to support the team. The Controller will play an integral role in financial operations, including financial reporting, general accounting, and system development.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the accounting operations team.

• Oversee accurate and timely financial close on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis

• Review account reconciliations as part of the overall financial control environment

• Support the development of key accounting systems, processes, and analyses

• Manage financial statement audits, debt, and banking administration

• Implement and validate appropriate internal controls throughout the company

• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial statements

• Plan and manage the efficient conduct of the annual financial audits, including partnering with external auditors

• Plan and manage regulatory reporting, including tax filings and compliance across various jurisdictions

• Foster a culture of engagement, collaboration, and respect within the team

• Manage the finance team with financials and consolidations

• Manage and maintain the Corporate Travel Program, including vendor and expense management

Requirements

• Demonstrated expertise in General Ledger management and oversight

• Proven experience in Account Reconciliation, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data

• Proficient in using NetSuite for various financial operations and reporting

• Strong capacity for Financial Reporting, including preparation, analysis, and presentation of reports

• Experience in working with Start-Ups, understanding their unique financial challenges and requirements

• Solid knowledge of GAAP Accounting principles and their application in financial operations

• Ability to collaborate with various departments and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to guide a team towards financial objectives

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred
