Robert Half Customer Service Representative in San Jose, California

Description We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our team based in San Jose, California. You will play a crucial role in assisting customers, ensuring they are properly guided, and maintaining a smooth flow of operations. This role also includes data entry tasks and utilizing various Microsoft tools for efficient record-keeping. This is a short-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Provide assistance to customers, ensuring they are directed appropriately

• Respond to and manage inbound and outbound calls effectively

• Provide top-notch customer service, resolving customer inquiries efficiently

• Maintain and update customer records in the database accurately

• Process customer-related data entry tasks promptly and accurately

• Utilize Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word for various tasks as needed

• Manage email correspondence professionally and timely

• Ensure accurate order entry and scheduling of appointments

• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions as required

• Maintain a customer-centric approach in all interactions and tasks. Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word is necessary for this position.

• Previous experience in Customer Service is beneficial but not essential.

• Strong Data Entry skills are required.

• Ability to handle both Inbound and Outbound Calls.

• Experience in a Call Center Customer Service environment is a plus.

• Excellent Email Correspondence skills are needed.

• Ability to efficiently Schedule Appointments is essential.

• Proficiency in Order Entry is required.

• Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with other team members.

• Flexibility to work in shifts and during weekends if necessary.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle customer complaints effectively.

• High school diploma or equivalent is required, higher education is a plus.

• Ability to handle stressful situations and remain calm under pressure.

• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.

• Must maintain a professional demeanor at all times.

• Ability to learn new software and systems quickly.

• Must be reliable and punctual.

• Strong attention to detail is required.
