Robert Half Finance Manager in San Jose, California


One of our clients in San Jose is looking to bring on a FPA consultant to help support the team for the next 3-5 months. This is an interim role with potential for extension. This role involves providing financial insights, analysis, and decision support to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations. The successful candidate will have a strong financial acumen, excellent communication skills, and a proactive attitude towards problem-solving.


• Conduct financial analysis to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of operations

• Manage budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency

• Prepare and present detailed reports on financial performance on a regular basis

• Perform ad-hoc analysis and provide support as needed

• Collaborate effectively across departments to ensure financial goals are achieved

• Utilize financial planning software for data analysis and forecasting

• Develop and maintain KPI reporting systems to track and improve performance

• Use Oracle and Microsoft Excel for various financial operations

• Prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, maintaining a high level of accuracy

• Take initiative in driving process improvements within the finance department.


• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.

• Strong proficiency in financial analysis and forecasting.

• Demonstrated experience with budget processes and variance analysis.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for creating detailed financial reports and forecasts.

• Experience with Adaptive Planning is highly preferred

• Knowledge of KPI reporting to track and improve financial performance.

• Familiarity with capital expenditure (CapEx) planning and management.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

• Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.

• Ability to work independently, manage large, complex projects, and meet deadlines.
