Description Payroll Admin & Human Resources Assistant – Job Description

We are looking to fill out our company’s Payroll Admin and HR Assistant.

The Payroll Admin and Human Resources Assistant is responsible for completing a variety of tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department and the company in general. His/her duties include processing biweekly ADP Payroll, comparing HR laws to current policies and procedures, drafting templates for HR documents and collaborating with managers hiring, onboarding, training, and termination process of employees.

Education and training requirements

Experience processing biweekly payroll with ADP Workforce Now.

Associate degree in Human Resources., or Certification in Human Resources.

Experience with Manufacturing industry, desirable.

Duties:

• Process biweekly ADP Payroll.

• Ensure smooth communication with employees and timely resolution of their queries.

• Generating internal documents such as offer letters, warning letters, and monitoring/controlling paycheck slips, job status changes, PTO request, sick leave, COVID related, etc.

• Helping with all issues related to employee relations.

• Maintaining physical and digital files for employees and their documents, benefits, and attendance records

• Assisting with policy update, recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, and termination of employees.

• Coordinate job postings, shortlist candidates and schedule job interviews.

• Coordinate orientation and mandatory OSHA training sessions for employees.

• Monitoring and updating HR policies and company guidelines, making sure its application follows government standards.

• Creating recruitment plans and coordinating agenda for recruitments.

• Educating newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and government regulations

• Assisting with employee retaining plan creation, adhering to budget and activities approval.

• Assisting with benefit administrators, upper management, and employees requests related to benefit policies and procedures.

• Reply to government agencies forms/request, such EDD, IRS, Franchise Tax Board, etc., regarding employees.

HR Assistant skills and qualifications

• Knowledge of administrative tasks and responsibilities

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Advanced computer skills, including data entry, data processing, communication tools and payroll and human resources software.

• Strong empathy and people skills

• Attention to detail and analytically driven.
