Description We are offering a position in the utilities/infrastructure industry located in SAN JOSE, California. The job function is a Payroll Clerk, which involves processing and maintaining payroll information as specified within the company. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and timely invoices for each job, ensuring a detailed collection of all required supporting documentation.

• Coordinate with project managers to make any necessary adjustments to invoices, such as back downs and retention adjustments.

• Maintain current contact information for customers in the business system.

• Prepare conditional releases and affidavits as needed for payment applications.

• Create new job files and purge closed job files as needed.

• Troubleshoot and coordinate with project managers to resolve all billing discrepancies in a timely manner.

• Utilize Certified Payroll, Union Payroll, Full Cycle Payroll, Payroll - In-House, Payroll - Manual skills to perform the job effectively.

• Ensure accurate data entry and efficient use of MS Excel and MS Word for various tasks.

Please note that this role does not offer the potential to transition into a permanent or full-time role. The ideal candidate will be authorized to work in the United States. Requirements • Proficient in Certified Payroll processes and reporting

• Experience with Union Payroll and associated requirements

• Familiarity with Full Cycle Payroll, including all stages from data collection to tax reporting

• Ability to manage In-House Payroll systems effectively

• Experience with Manual Payroll processes, and ability to accurately calculate wages, deductions, and benefits

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidential information

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax rules and regulations

• Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
