Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity in the healthcare industry at San Luis Obispo, California. The role involves functioning as a Medical Scheduler, responsible for coordinating patient appointments and managing medical records.
Responsibilities:
• Communication with patients to schedule appointments
• Verification and updating of patient information in the system
• Maintenance and updating of medical records
• Coordination for the maintenance and conservation of office supplies and equipment
• Utilization of strong computer skills to manage customer database systems
• Achieving a high accuracy level in data entry tasks
• Proficiency in using MS Word for various administrative tasks Requirements • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent education
• Proven experience in a medical scheduling or similar role is preferred
• Proficiency in MS Word is required
• Strong data entry alphanumeric skills
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to handle confidential patient information with discretion
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must have strong customer service skills
• Familiarity with medical software systems is desirable
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
