Description
As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you'll play a large role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of payments while supporting the financial operations of our client's business. If you're ready to put your accounting skills to work in an exciting industry, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
Process accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently, including verifying invoices, coding expenses, and entering data into the accounting system.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner, maintaining positive relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Prepare and process payment batches, including checks, ACH payments, and wire transfers, ensuring adherence to payment terms and deadlines.
Assist with month-end closing activities, including accruals, reconciliations, and reporting.
Respond to vendor inquiries and internal requests for information, providing excellent customer service and support.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve processes related to accounts payable.
Assist with other accounting and finance tasks as needed, contributing to the overall success of the finance department.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in accounting or finance is a plus.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with team members and external stakeholders.
Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, with a desire to learn and grow in the field.
