Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in San Marcos, California
Description
Our dynamic company is currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist. The role requires an individual who has a demonstrated experience in a public company's accounts payable procedures, with knowledge of Oracle system as a strong asset. Become an integral part of our finance department and contribute to the accuracy and efficiency of our accounting operations.
Responsibilities:
Prepare, validate and process invoices for payment.
Verify transaction information; compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep financial records complete.
Handle accounts payable and reconcile AP accounts on a monthly basis.
Support monthly close processes and assist in preparing necessary entries.
Respond to supplier inquiries regarding invoice issues, payment dates, etc.
Ensure timely payment of invoices according to terms, and resolve payment discrepancies and disputes.
Collaborate with procurement and receiving departments to refine and improve AP processes.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a relevant field.
Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist in a public company.
Proficiency in Oracle and MS Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills.
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work.
