Description
Our client in San Marcos, CA is continuing to grow and expand their operations. The company is looking for a reliable Payroll Clerk to join their team. If you are passionate about accuracy, efficiency, and ensuring employees are compensated accurately and on time, we encourage you to apply!
Responsibilities:
Collect and verify timekeeping information for all employees.
Calculate overtime, shift differentials, and other payroll adjustments.
Process payroll on a timely basis using payroll software.
Review and reconcile payroll reports for accuracy.
Address payroll-related inquiries from employees.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
Prepare and distribute payroll checks or direct deposits.
Maintain accurate payroll records and employee files.
Assist with payroll audits and reporting as needed.
Collaborate with HR and finance teams to resolve payroll-related issues.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
