A dynamic and growing toy distribution company based in San Mateo is looking for a detail-oriented Entry-Level Accounting Clerk to join our finance team! This is a fantastic opportunity to start your accounting career in a fun and supportive environment.
Position Summary:
The Entry-Level Accounting Clerk will support the finance team by performing various accounting and clerical tasks. The ideal candidate will have basic knowledge of accounting principles, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in Excel and QuickBooks. This role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced and growing company.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Entry: Accurately enter financial data into QuickBooks and Excel spreadsheets.
Accounts Payable and Receivable: Assist in processing invoices, payments, and receipts, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
Reconciliation: Help reconcile bank statements and accounts to ensure accuracy.
Record Keeping: Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documents.
Expense Reporting: Assist in preparing and submitting expense reports.
Financial Reporting: Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Clerical Support: Provide general administrative support to the finance team, including filing, copying, and mailing documents.
Ad Hoc Tasks: Perform other accounting and administrative tasks as needed to support the team.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
Experience: Previous experience in an accounting or clerical role is a plus, but not required.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks is required.
