Robert Half Litigation Associate in San Mateo, California

Description We are offering an opportunity for an Attorney/Lawyer specializing in construction litigation to join our team based in San Mateo, California. This individual will play a critical role in managing legal cases, representing clients in construction disputes, drafting legal documents, and offering legal advice. This role is within the construction/contractor industry.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a variety of construction litigation cases

• Represent clients in legal proceedings, arguing motions when necessary

• Draft legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, contracts, and legal opinions

• Conduct and defend depositions to gather and present relevant information

• Handle complaints and civil litigation matters

• Utilize legal software and LexisNexis for research and case management

• Offer legal advice to clients regarding construction disputes

• Collaborate with team members to ensure a comprehensive legal approach

• Maintain knowledge of current laws, regulations, and industry trends related to construction law

• Develop and implement effective legal strategies to achieve successful outcomes for clients. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years experience in the field of law, specifically in construction or contract law

• Proficiency in using legal software for research and case management

• Familiarity with LexisNexis for legal research and case preparation

• Proficiency in management systems for organizing and tracking cases

• Experience with briefing and presenting cases

• Knowledge of civil litigation processes and procedures

• Experience in handling complaints and resolving disputes

• Experience in construction litigation, particularly in defending and arguing cases

• Proficiency in conducting depositions and defending depositions

• Excellent legal writing skills for drafting legal documents, correspondences, and reports

• Experience in drafting, arguing, and defending motions in court

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school

• Must be a member in good standing with the local State Bar Association.
