Description

We are seeking an Accounting Analyst to join our team located in San Ramon, California. As an Accounting Analyst, you will be tasked with maintaining large Excel files, understanding ASC 355-40, and interacting with the product engineering team. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Handle internal use R& D capitalization.

• Manage large Excel files and back them up daily.

• Understand and apply ASC 355-40 in daily operations.

• Leverage your experience with Internal Use Software.

• Apply and maintain excellent US GAAP experience.

• Utilize functions such as X Lookups, Pivots, and understanding queries.

• Engage with the product engineering team to ensure smooth operations.

• Handle ad hoc projects as per the need of the organization.

• Implement US GAAP accounting treatment in daily tasks.

• Extract and manipulate data from NetSuite to calculate hourly costs.

• Conduct accounting research for ad hoc projects.

• Assess the impact on the company for new accounting standards through tasks such as acquisitions, restructuring, and technical accounting.

• Utilize your advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for various tasks.

Requirements

• Must have proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with Accounting Functions is necessary

• Knowledge of NetSuite is required

• Must possess skills in Technical Accounting

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is crucial

• Familiarity with Excel Formulas is necessary

• Experience in Data Extraction is required

• Must have the ability to create Ad Hoc Reporting

• A degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration is desirable

• Attention to detail and accuracy in all work is essential
