Analytics Implementation Engineer




The Analytics Implementation Engineer supports the Global Marketing Analytics team through the development, implementation, testing, and optimization of digital tracking tools that enables our digital marketing measurement infrastructure. In addition to the existing Analytics Implementation Specialist responsibilities, this role will focus on writing, debugging, and maintaining clean, scalable custom JavaScript and HTML code via tag management systems to support web measurement and 3rd party advertising solutions. There will also be an emphasis on maintaining Robert Half’s CDP instance working with internal and external stakeholders to define, create, and transfer audience and audience attributes across digital platforms.

This individual will be responsible for both the technical tag implementation and optimization of our tracking and server-side use case implementation and optimization to improve overall functionality, speed and stability of our measurement capabilities on a global scale, while also supporting our data protection and privacy implementation to ensure Robert Half is in compliance with governing bodies regulatory measures.

This person will work closely with members of the Global Marketing Analytics team, Digital Advertising Team, and IT Teams in support of our global measurement and performance-advertising infrastructure. Suggesting, contributing, and owning initiatives from planning phase to full execution and documentation, as directed by the Manager, Analytics Implementation.

Responsibilities :

  • Provides Marketing Analytics infrastructure and process gap analysis and recommendations. Conducts research on state of the art in Marketing Analytics technology. Recommends new processes to improve effectiveness and efficiency of data reporting and automation.

  • Ensures institutional knowledge through the development and maintenance of technical documentation for systems and processes implemented.

  • Works closely with QA and other functional partners to ensure that Digital Measurement is working as expected. Includes leading the overall UAT efforts for large product releases on both web and mobile app.

  • Responsible for effectively troubleshooting and analyzing complex issues related to JavaScript, APIs, Data Discrepancies, and general front-end code languages, identifing possible solutions, and presenting recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Owns initiatives focused on development and implementation of JavaScript code and tools that enable our global digital marketing measurement infrastructure. Develops, maintains, and configures tag management systems, CDP, privacy implementation to support web measurement and 3rd party advertising solutions. Operates independently, and closely with Manager, Analytics Implementation as needed, to execute Analytics product road map.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Economic or related course of study required or equivalent work experience. Related Master’s Degree a plus

  • 4+ years front-end web or analytics development experience

  • 3+ year developing tag management solutions (Tealium preferred)

  • 2+ years experience with Google Analytics

  • 1+ years experience developing and / or leveraging CDPs (customer data platform)

  • Exposure to machine learning concepts and data warehousing experience preferred

  • Strong tag management skills, deep knowledge of JavaScript, jQuery, JSON, and DOM manipulation, solid debugging and troubleshooting skills, CSS and HTML proficient. ObservePoint, SQL, and Google Cloud Platform familiarly preferred.

  • Good communications skills – must be able to explain relatively complex analyses in ways that are understandable and actionable to marketing stakeholders.

  • Must also be able to clearly articulate both strategic direction, and tactical actions to Professional/Management Levels, IT team, and marketing stakeholders.

  • Detail oriented with excellent analytical ability.

  • Must be able to clearly work with marketing program owners to determine business needs and requirements and then translate that into research and reporting requirements for internal teams and external vendors.

  • Has a flexible analytic tool set that can provide results at varying levels of precision. Ability to provide analysis and insight based on partial information.

  • Ability to work independently and set priorities based on high level direction of Manager, Analytics Implementation
