Program Manager (Contract Talent)




Robert Half is seeking a Program Manager for to manage delivery of our website renovation and implementation project. This is a vital role that will work across multiple internal teams including leadership, marketing, IT, and product to ensure this large-scale project is run efficiently and effectively.

Skills :

  • Quickly gain a high-level understanding of leadership's vision and aligns program behind that vision and priorities

  • Setup and continuously improve program structure to maximize not only effectiveness of the various impacted teams, but also the program leadership team's ability to support these groups.

  • A versatile self-starter who is organized and has excellent communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills

  • Understand complex models, develop appropriate recommendations, and solve problems; ability to make reasoned, independent decisions using solid analytical skills and good business sense

  • Keen attention to detail and an awareness and responsiveness to deadlines within limits of what can realistically be done and having the ability to set expectations

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cross functionally with other leaders and peers

  • Experience with website projects and implementations with multiple large system changes preferred

  • Solid understanding of technical architecture, data design, and systems integration, to facilitate program level identification and tracking of cross-team interdependencies

  • 10+ years demonstrated experience in managing cross functional projects and programs, with a bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, hands-on, and largely virtual environment


  • Act as core program manager across multiple cross-functional teams and workstreams

  • Establish and maintain program communications plan to manage stakeholder/exec reporting and communications

  • Establish and maintain a governance plan to drive accountability and decision-making

  • Create and maintain a high-level program plan with major milestones and dependencies

  • Establish and maintain a framework for working with scrum teams at a program level across internal and external resources, addressing program level backlog grooming, iteration planning, sprint reviews and retrospectives, allowing transparency in monitoring and reviewing progress and deliverables, and proactively identifying and resolving issues to ensure success.

  • Manage program expectations, risk, milestone timelines, communication and delivery

  • Perform ongoing program level risk management, identify risks and drive teams to perform the needed mitigation or contingency planning

  • Lead discussions that result in resolution of project issues or appropriately escalate to the executive steering committee

  • Communicate openly and frequently with stakeholders and subject matter experts regarding the state of the project, with a focus on transparency and follow-through
