Robert Half Technology Public Relations Research and Data Analyst in San Ramon, California

Robert Half is seeking a Public Relations Research Data Analyst to identify workplace trends and topics for thought leadership and public relations programs, recommend ideal research approaches to get compelling data, and optimize research for existing programs. In this role, you?ll design and coordinate surveys with the PR team and survey vendor, analyze data, and recommend how to illustrate or convey key findings. You?ll also establish key performance indicators for evaluating the success of our PR programs, optimize reporting and work with our marketing analytics team to feed PR results into overall program performance dashboards. Specific responsibilities include: Identify trends and topics for new RH content or PR programs, and optimize research for existing programs. Track competitor and third-party research; conduct online research or leverage social media to help identify and engage with credible experts that could potentially be used for PR or content programs. Coordinate workplace research surveys with PR team and vendor; design surveys for RH-wide content programs; analyze, summarize and share insights with PR and content teams; make recommendations for how data should be displayed in visuals and content pieces. Review content drafts to ensure data is conveyed accurately; track survey questions and results. Serve as primary point of contact for survey vendor. Mine internal data for potential use in PR and content programs. Assist with ad hoc research requests from PR team and field leadership. Work with PR team and vendor to establish key performance indicators for evaluating our PR programs. Work with vendor to optimize quarterly and annual media coverage reports and set up real-time dashboards. Work with marketing analytics team to feed PR results into overall program dashboards. Run PR reports, as needed, for executive meetings or other ad hoc requests. Serve as primary point of contact for media monitoring vendors.

Requirements: Bachelor?s degree, preferably in statistics, business, economics or library science. 5+ years of statistics, market research or data analysis experience preferred. Background in business statistics and survey development (course work or work experience), media measurement, reporting, and KPI development preferred. Must have the ability to think strategically and analyze complex data. Ability to work in a fast-paced setting. Ability to communicate complex data and analyses in understandable terms and influence executive management. Must be able to produce compelling and persuasive communications, including but not limited to: media reports, research program recommendations and key findings, general correspondence. Understands business challenges and opportunities and can translate them into innovative research topics and surveys. Works effectively with employees at all levels of the organization in addition to external experts and vendors. Basic understanding of Google Analytics preferred. Experience with Domo or similar BI tool preferred. Analytical and mathematical skills required. Statistical package experience (SAS, SPSS) preferred. Business analytics software experience (Cognos, Business Objects) preferred. Experience with Salesforce a plus. Microsoft Office including strong Excel and PowerPoint skills required. Ability to craft survey questions to get meaningful results; survey design experience required, including expertise with SurveyMonkey, Qualtrics or similar survey program. Experience with Cision and Public Relay media monitoring platforms. Experience with Workfront preferred. Knowledge of social media, including Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. Creativity and an openness to new ideas and innovations. Overall thirst for knowledge. Good news sense.
