JOB DESCRIPTION

Robert Half is seeking a Software Engineer III who will Develop, design, and modify large and complex modules and components within a larger system architecture. Analyze, design, and implement customized Salesforce solutions. Implement, configure, and develop Salesforce functionality using Apex, Visualforce, and APIs (SOAP/REST). Code all components within an end-to-end system (i.e., DB, middleware, and front end). Code end-user applications, such as materials management, financial management, HRIS, and desktop applications products. Implement SDLC documentation and procedures for all phases of the software development lifecycle. Interact with users to define system requirements and necessary modifications. Support product launches in production environments. Perform unit testing, planning, and execution for software code validation. Define integration test strategies and plans. Contribute to integration test strategy and planning. Analyze and resolve complex production issues and define department guidelines and troubleshoot best practices. Serve as design authority at module-level for system design. Review junior-level Software Engineers’ modules and components coding and approving deliverables. Provide feedback and design support for junior-level staff.

Minimum Requirements

Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or closely related quantitative discipline plus two (2) years of experience in the job offered or two (2) years of experience in the field of software engineering or release management or Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or closely related quantitative discipline plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the field of software engineering or release management.

Special Skill Requirements

  1. Analyze, design, develop, debug, test, implement and maintain Salesforce integrations, data loads, conversions using salesforce data loader and other scripting language, software enhancements and new applications used in local, networked, or Internet-related computer programs.

  2. Perform coding on all components within an end-to-end system including database, middleware, and front-end applications and performing code reviews.

  3. Perform unit testing, planning and execution for software code validation, as well as review unit test plans and results.

  4. Analyze and identify root causes, fixing issues on the custom Salesforce system, and Pentaho platforms for 17 countries, 400 branches and over 10,000 users.

  5. Perform Salesforce App cloud design, development, integration, user support and operations analysis on various Force.com platforms including Sales, Service, Marketing, Community, and Analytic Cloud.

  6. Perform Salesforce administration including managing user permissions and configuring and monitoring metadata on Salesforce and preserving the data security across various Force.com platforms by implementing the Hierarchy Models, creating new profiles and permission sets, sharing rules, and public groups.

  7. Perform integrations between Salesforce and external systems using SOAP and RESTFUL web services and leverage Apex, Visual Force and Lightning Components.

  8. Interface with Engineering and QA teams to gather and analyze requirements and collaborate with other IT teams and vendors throughout all phases of Salesforce projects.
