Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Sands Point, New York
Description Are you a talented Accounting Manager? You might be the candidate Robert Half is looking for to work with a successful Non-Profit organization that will recognize your efforts. This position is for candidates who can lead daily operations, such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, and assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable. The ability to create and monitor the company's accounting and finance operations will be essential for this role. This Accounting Manager role is a permanent employment opportunity, based in the Sands Point, New York area.
Your responsibilities in this role
Prepare a variety of technical accounting analyses, policies, and procedures
Review and analyze balance sheets and income statement accounts owned by the Senior Accountant
Assist in preparing GAAP financial statements through data analysis, document preparation, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes
Encourage and manage the full accounting team performance so that close deadlines are met
Possess a thorough knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
Assist in the implementation of NetSuite Financials, which includes designing systems and processes, migrating data, testing, training, and administrating
Work alongside FP& A and accounting management to deliver relevant and timely reporting of financial data analytics like the monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience
Customer service oriented communication skills
Recent relevant financial experience
CPA or MBA preferred
Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
Solid technical skills
Excellent problem-solving skills
Background working with Annual Budget
Deep understanding of Ad Hoc Financial Analysis
Previous experience working with forecasting
Account analysis experience desired
Practical knowledge of Analyze Variance
Foundational knowledge in Ad Hoc Reporting
Earlier work involving US GAAP
Command of account reconciliation
Experience with analytics
Hands-on experience with analysis
General familiarity with Analyze Financial Statements
Comprehension of Budget Processes
Budget forecasting experience highly valued
Demonstrated knowledge of Analyze Revenues
Annual Audited Financial Statements experience highly preferred
Analytical Skills experience highly desired
Adeptness in Analyze Trends
Good understanding of financial analysis
