Robert Half Staff Accountant in Sandy, Utah
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Sandy, Utah. The successful candidate will be joining our team in the telecom industry, where they will be tasked with a variety of accounting duties, including managing accounts payable and receivable, performing bank and account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, and utilizing MS Excel for data management and analysis.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions
• Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy
• Conduct account reconciliations to detect and rectify any discrepancies
• Maintain and update the general ledger on a regular basis
• Utilize MS Excel to perform data analysis and financial reporting
• Prepare and post journal entries as part of the month-end close process
• Use NetSuite and QuickBooks for various accounting tasks
• Collaborate with other team members to improve and streamline financial procedures
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies
• Respond to any financial inquiries and provide financial information to the management as needed. Requirements • Possession of a minimum of one year of experience as a Staff Accountant
• Demonstrated proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Proven experience in Bank Reconciliations
• Familiarity with General Ledger management
• Ability to create and manage Journal Entries
• Experience in Month End Close procedures
• Proficiency in NetSuite software
• Experience in using QuickBooks software
