Robert Half Accounts Receivable Specialist in Sanford, Florida

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Credit Clerk in the Construction/Contractor industry. Based in Sanford, Florida, United States, this role focuses on the job function of an Accounts Receivable Clerk. You will be tasked with processing customer credit applications, maintaining accurate customer credit records, and resolving customer credit inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Perform in-depth customer payment analysis to properly record actions required to resolve disputed items

• Identify payment discrepancies and initiate dispute resolution process, including necessary follow up procedures

• Maintain frequent contact with internal and external customers to ensure payments, disputes and return issues are resolved

• Ensure appropriate and timely processing of requests for the return of customer credit balances

• Enter, update and retrieve information for credit applications

• Analyze credit reports and determine credit worthiness of applicants/accounts using external credit risk management tools/reports

• Generate Accounts Receivable (AR) reporting to internal parties

• Contact customers via phone, email and mail to collect payment for past due amounts

• Perform proper follow-up on all collection efforts to reduce Days Sales Outstanding and minimize the percent of receivables that are past due

• Research and handle customer inquiries and provide superior customer service – both externally and internally.

Skills required include Account Reconciliation, Accounts Receivable (AR), Billing, Cash Applications, Cash Collections, Commercial Collections, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Requirements • Minimum of 3 years experience in an Accounts Receivable role within the Construction/Contractor industry

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Knowledge of Billing procedures

• Experience with Cash Applications

• Familiarity with Cash Collections and Commercial Collections

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Must have excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• High level of integrity and reliability

• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
