Description
We are seeking a Payroll Specialist for a temporary/contract position with a growing company in Sanford, Florida. This role involves overseeing payroll functions, ensuring that all pay is processed accurately and in a timely manner, in compliance with government regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage, review, and update payroll systems to guarantee all transactions, from salaries to taxes, are handled accurately and on time.
Make sure any changes to payroll, such as new hires or terminations, are processed correctly and promptly.
Maintain detailed records and reports for all payroll activities.
Keep compliant with all federal, state, and local payroll laws and standards.
Assist auditors by providing necessary documentation during audits.
Recommend improvements to payroll systems and processes.
Take on additional tasks as needed.
Requirements
In-depth understanding of payroll processes, including taxes and internal controls.
Impeccable attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to solve problems and analyze data effectively.
Great leadership and supervisory abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software.
Familiarity with payroll software, specifically UKG.
