Robert Half Account Supervisor/Director in Santa Barbara, California

Description We are in the process of recruiting an Account Supervisor/Director to join our team based in Santa Barbara, California. This role involves leading public relations strategies and campaigns, serving as the spokesperson for clients, and closely monitoring industry trends. The successful candidate will also participate in planning and executing special events, as well as write and publish press releases and other PR materials.

Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive public relations strategies and campaigns to promote clients' brands, products, and/or services

• Serve as the spokesperson for clients when necessary

• Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging issues that may impact the client and provide relevant insights

• Plan and execute special events aimed at engaging customers and generating significant media coverage

• Write compelling press releases, pitch letters, media alerts, and more

• Work in close collaboration with other team members, clients, and agency partners

• Monitor, manage, and respond to any issues impacting the client's reputation

• Participate in responding to new business opportunities

• Prepare client reports on media coverage, effectiveness of campaigns, and key learnings after each project

• Lead annual PR planning and manage the budget

• Create and execute a year-long calendar of events, working within an approved budget

• Write bylined articles for industry-specific magazines and publish a monthly newsletter. Requirements • Proven experience in Account Management

• Proficiency in Annual Planning and Budget Processes

• Experience in Public Relations, specifically in Account Service and Copywriting

• Ability to compose and distribute effective Press Releases

• Knowledge and understanding of Earned Media strategies

• Excellent communication and leadership skills

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities

• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships

• Proficiency in using various software and tools related to account management and public relations. Innovation starts with people.®
