Robert Half International Bilingual Office Assistant in Santa Barbara, California


A government organization is looking to find several skilled Bilingual (Spanish) Office Assistants. This opportunity would be best for an optimistic individual that enjoys multi-tasking and handling various assignments simultaneously. This candidate will play the role of the face of the company, interacting with incoming clients and customers and providing support to the internal team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others, ability to speak Spanish as to communicate with any bilingual customers, and excellent communication skills. This position allows the candidate to steadily improve their skills while growing with the company. This Office Assistant position is a terrific opportunity and is based in the Santa Barbara, California area.

Your responsibilities:

  • Help out other administrative staff with support overflow work, including word processing, data entry and Internet research tasks

  • Oversee various office files and provide general office filing support

  • Route all incoming phone calls to the appropriate individuals

  • Put in orders for office and kitchen supplies

  • Create a welcoming environment for visitors

  • Have strong prioritization skills and a sense of urgency

  • Oversee various office files and provide general office filing support

  • Catalog, review, and dole out incoming mail according to specified procedures


Requirements for the role:

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish

  • Be detailed, flexible, and organized

  • Microsoft Outlook experience

  • Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills

  • 1 or more years of experience handling multi-line phone systems

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must

  • Strong customer service and office administrative skills

  • Confident, quick-witted, resourceful, solution-oriented and tech-savvy
