Robert Half Compliance Auditor in Santa Barbara, California

Description

We are in search of a Compliance Auditor situated in Santa Barbara, California. This role is in the banking industry and revolves around assisting with the credit union's compliance program. The role offers a long term contract employment opportunity. It is imperative for the candidate to be proficient in efficient processing and have a good understanding of the Bank Secrecy Act.

Responsibilities:

• Assist management with evaluation of bank policies within the compliance program.

• Evaluate Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) reviews to ensure compliance with banking regulations.

• Provide recommendations to improve work stream and process flow efficiency.

• Handle compliance matters related to Reg A, Lending compliance, Community reinvestment act, SBA loans, mortgage compliance, and FDIC compliance.

• Utilize Verafin software for compliance tasks and operations, if experienced.

• Maintain knowledge of and adhere to all regulations, statutes, policies, and procedures related to the compliance function.

• Assist in the development of internal policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with banking regulations.

• Collaborate with other departments to create a culture of compliance within the organization.

Requirements • Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role as a Compliance Auditor

• Must have a comprehensive understanding of the BSA - Bank Secrecy Act

• Should have proven skills in efficient processing

• Must possess strong analytical skills with attention to detail

• Should have excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Must have the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Should have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions

• Must possess a high level of integrity and professionalism

• Should be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

• Must have proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software

• Should have a proactive approach to identifying potential compliance issues

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
