Robert Half Full Charge Bookkeeper in Santa Barbara, California
Description We are welcoming applications for the role of a Full Charge Bookkeeper located in Santa Barbara, California. Our industry requires the skills of a detail-oriented individual who can independently handle bookkeeping matters, manage workload and priorities, and communicate effectively with senior staff, partners, and clients. This role emphasizes the need for individuals to continuously learn and improve their technical and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and maintain accurate customer credit records
• Process customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency
• Oversee the complete bookkeeping process, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately
• Post adjusting entries and ensure the accuracy of financial statements
• Handle account reconciliations and ensure all accounts are balanced
• Prepare payroll tax returns and sales tax returns
• Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft and Excel, utilizing these tools effectively for bookkeeping tasks
• Display strong written and verbal communication skills while interacting with clients and team members
• Exhibit a high degree of self-motivation and an entrepreneurial mindset in managing workload and priorities
• Exhibit integrity and reliability in all tasks, ensuring all duties are completed to the highest standard.
Skills:
• Proficiency in Adjusting Journal Entries
• Experience in preparing Payroll Tax Returns
• Expertise in Account Reconciliation
• Understanding of Financial Statements Requirements • Proficiency in Adjusting Journal Entries is required
• Experience with Payroll Tax Returns is essential
• Demonstrated skill in Account Reconciliation is necessary
• Ability to prepare and analyze Financial Statements is a must
