Description
We are offering an opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in Santa Barbara, California. This role requires expertise in accounting software systems and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. The position will be on-site and offers a long term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Accurate and efficient processing of payroll requisitions
• Regular interaction with payroll technicians for follow-ups
• Conduct thorough auditing to ensure accuracy of financials
• Proficient use of Excel for exporting financials from the database and checking variances
• Ensure correct hours are reported by using Excel vlookups
• Manage and maintain accurate customer credit records
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve them promptly
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action as needed
• Ensure accurate data entry into the payroll system and other accounting software systems
• Manage processing of leaves.
Requirements
• Possess a minimum of 1 year of experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in accounting and payroll software systems is required.
• Must possess a strong understanding of accounting functions and auditing procedures.
• Knowledge of benefit functions is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in all tasks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
