Description

We are seeking a Sr. Accountant for a Real Estate Investment Firm. This is 100% remote (Pacific standard or Mountain time). This role will involve handling accounting tasks across multiple entities, engaging in financial statement preparation, and managing both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. The chosen candidate will be responsible for maintaining precise records, performing bank reconciliations, and contributing to financial reporting tasks.

Responsibilities

• Conducting month-end close procedures

• Generating and maintaining journal entries

• Overseeing the consolidation of multiple entities

• Managing Accounts Payable, including invoice approval and issue checks

• Handling Accounts Receivable, encompassing invoice creation and deposit posting

• Performing bank reconciliations to ensure accurate records

• Preparing financial reports and conducting variance analysis

• Participating in analytic projects to monitor and analyze financial performance

• Assisting in the development of property budgets, business plans, and quarterly re-forecasts

• Contributing to investor reporting preparations

• Utilizing real estate/property management accounting software such as RealPage.

Requirements

• Demonstrated proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Experience with Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations

• Strong understanding of General Ledger

• Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries

• Advanced Excel

• Experience with Month End Close processes

• BS in Accounting or related field is required
