Robert Half Budget Analyst/Fiscal Operations in Santa Clara, California
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Budget Analyst in Santa Clara, California. The position is within an HR Operations team, where you will be chiefly involved in student employment support and HR fiscal operations support. The role calls for a detail-oriented and organized individual who can efficiently handle various budgeting, planning, and invoice processing tasks.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in the review and processing of student employment job requisitions and terminations.
• Coordinate and facilitate student employment related trainings and workshops.
• Serve as a point of contact for student employment-related inquiries.
• Assist in the preparation and monitoring of departmental and individual functional area budgets.
• Monitor financial accounts, research and reconcile discrepancies.
• Prepare HR functional area expense and budget reports as needed.
• Ensure all HR operational expenditures are classified and posted to GL properly and work with HR managers to reconcile discrepancies.
• Assist with the preparation and review of University’s benefit budget report and proposal.
• Serve as an HR point of contact for inquiries related to benefit bills and vendor invoices.
• Review and generate timely payment of all benefits related bills and invoices.
• Reconcile benefit related bills with HR records to ensure bills or invoices include proper charges, and work with benefits staff to resolve discrepancies and take corrective actions.
• Prepare and track benefit wire fund transfers.
• Process and track operational related bills and payments, including utility bills, for the department.
• Assist with employment tax related payments, including unemployment quarterly payments.
• Assist with the monthly reconciliation of benefit and payroll related GL accounts.
• Ensure account reconciliations are completed per General Accepted Accounting Principles and University guidelines.
• Assist with internal and external audits as needed, including 401a and 403b, and fiscal year-end. Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Familiarity with Banner Ads and Concur use
• Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems
• Knowledge of Hyperion Technologies
• Competency in Accounting Functions and Budget Processes
• Ability to create clear and concise Documentation
• Understanding of Expenditure and Expense Reporting
• Proficiency in using Excelsius, Excel VBA, and Microsoft Excel
• Experience in Fiscal Operation and Budget monitoring
• Ability to perform Balance Sheet Reconciliation
• Experience with Workday ERP system
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in business relationships
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively.
