Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity in Santa Clara, California for a meticulous and organized Credit Clerk. The role is within the financial industry and revolves around managing customer credit applications and maintaining accurate records. The successful candidate will be crucial in facilitating smooth banking operations and ensuring customer satisfaction through efficient credit processing.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate customer credit records to facilitate easy tracking and reference.
• Read and interpret aged reports to understand customer payment histories and creditworthiness.
• Set appropriate credit limits based on analysis of financial reports and customer credit history.
• Monitor customer credit accounts regularly to track payment activities and credit usage.
• Take appropriate actions to collect delinquent payments to ensure minimal credit risk to the organization.
• Handle customer credit inquiries professionally, providing accurate information and resolving issues promptly.
• Utilize various software systems such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suites, and IBM AS/400 for credit processing tasks.
• Adhere to collection processes and banking operation standards to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
• Collaborate with the finance department and other teams to streamline credit processes and enhance overall operational efficiency. Requirements
• Competency in SAGE
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites
• Experience in Banking Operation
• Knowledge of Cash Activity management
• Experience in Check Processing
• Understanding of Collection Processes
• Familiarity with Credit processes
• Experience in Credit - Collections
