Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Risk Manager in the banking industry, based in Santa Clara, California. This role requires working from our Santa Clara or San Francisco Offices three days a week and involves working in the first line of defense. The role covers all lines of business from deposits to lending.

Responsibilities:

• Manage risk control activities across various lines of business

• Conduct operational audits to ensure compliance with banking regulations

• Perform compliance assessments to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies

• Monitor and manage banking compliance across all business units

• Develop and implement strategies for managing compliance risk

• Collaborate with other business units to ensure alignment of risk management strategies

• Respond to inquiries from regulatory bodies as needed

• Stay up-to-date with changes in banking regulations and industry trends in risk management. Requirements • Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in risk management

• Solid understanding of Risk Control methods and practices

• Proven experience in Audit - Operational and Audit Compliance

• Strong knowledge of Banking Compliance regulations and practices

• Demonstrated ability in conducting Compliance Assessments

• Familiarity with Compliance Risk management strategies

• Ability to create, implement, and monitor risk management strategies

• Excellent analytical and decision-making skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred

• Relevant certifications in Risk Management would be an advantage.
