Robert Half Patient Care Coordinator in Santa Clarita, California

Description We are looking for a Patient Care Coordinator to join our team in Santa Clarita, California. In this role, you will act as the primary point of contact for patients, manage patient records, and carry out a range of administrative tasks. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service.

• Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records accurately.

• Make follow-up and proactive calls to existing and previous patients.

• Handle the main phone line, resolving routine inquiries and providing general information.

• Perform general administrative tasks such as data entry and faxing.

• Validate patient insurance policy coverage by liaising with insurance companies.

• Maintain confidentiality of all business and patient information.

• Cooperate with other clinic staff to meet the goals set by the regional and corporate management.

• Maintain basic understanding of hearing instrument function and troubleshooting.

• Manage check-ins and check-outs during appointments, process stock and custom orders, and conduct weekly inventory checks.

• Handle payments, assist in financing applications and processes, maintain detailed financial records, and perform end-of-day procedures and settlements. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Patient Care Coordinator or similar role in a healthcare setting

• Proficiency in using medical software such as Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, and Dentrix Dental Software

• Skills in handling Banner Ads and CRM systems

• Experience in answering inbound calls and managing patient appointments

• Knowledge of authorization procedures in healthcare settings

• Understanding of benefit functions and billing functions in a medical environment

• Capable of handling and interpreting charts and graphs for patient records

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
