Robert Half Full Charge Bookkeeper in Santa Cruz, California

Description A client of ours has a full-time placement need for a Full Charge Bookkeeper to govern over financial statement preparation, audit, clerical staff, full cycle A/P, payroll, bank reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close, and cash flow. Seeking a full-time Full Charge Bookkeeper to join their NHS team, our client in the Santa Cruz, California area, is working with Robert Half to find a experience in candidate to join their team. What you get to do in this role:

  • Document budget transfers

  • Group sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments

  • Organize cash account journal entries including loans, taxes, bank fees, 401(k) deductions, etc.

  • Update Accounts Payable

  • Knowledgeable with Accounts Receivable

  • Organize cash flow projections, as needed

  • Draw up subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year-end requirement

  • Work on special projects occasionally

  • Supervise monthly accounting close

  • Knowledgeable in credit card management and reconciliation

  • Formulate monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents

  • Business license and gross receipts summarizing

  • Possess strong organizational and follow-up skills

  • Demonstrated knowledge of general ledger

  • Bookkeeping experience desired

  • QuickBooks experience highly desired

  • Strong familiarity with Full Charge Bookkeeping

  • Knowledge of full charge bookkeeping

  • Foundational knowledge in Bookkeeping Functions

  • Earlier work involving financial reporting

  • General familiarity with trial balance

  • Adeptness in Quickbooks Online

  • Trial balance experience highly preferred

  • Background working with Activity Reports

  • Practical knowledge of Prepare Trial Balance

  • Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines

  • Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision

  • Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus

  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field preferred

  • Crucial accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and vendor management skills
